TEENS… TOO COOL FOR VACATION?
There are many resorts that have programs and activities that would appeal to teens, but since it is “Sandal’s Saturday” let’s take a closer look at the Beaches Resorts and specifically their teen program.
At Beaches, teens have the ultimate freedom to do their own thing. Nearly all of the activities are included so they can do as much or as little as they want each day. There are special TEENS ONLY areas at the resorts.
One such area is the Beach Shack, an authentic thatched roof hut, located right on the beach. It is somewhere teens can gather, hang out, and meet new friends.
Another teen only area is Trenchtown where they can listen to Sirius radio, play foosball, air hockey, basketball, enjoy flat screen TVs, and more.
At the Xbox Play Lounge there is unlimited free play on Xbox One, Xbox 360, and Kinect consoles.
Another popular teen spot is the Scratch DJ Academy. There is a small fee for this (mostly to cover the cost of items they take with them) but it’s where teens can mix, blend, and scratch on vinyl, CDs, and even an iPod. As part of the program, they’ll have the option of performing for their friends, family, or even participating in an authentic DJ battle!
Club Liquid is a nightclub just for teens! There’s never anyone over 21 inside until later in the evening with the club changes over to an adult only club.
Other activities teens would enjoy include:
Beach parties, bonfires, outdoor billiards, swim-up juice and soda bars, water park and slides, waterskiing, windsurfing, stand-up paddle boarding, scuba diving, glass bottom boat tours, sailing, snorkeling, tennis clinics, unlimited golf, beach volleyball, sand soccer, reggae jam sessions, karaoke and talent shows, dive-in movies, and more!
There is always something going on that will appeal to teens at the Beaches Resorts… the toughest thing will be getting them to hang out with their family, which may or may not be a good thing?? Ha!
