DO YOU KNOW YOUR DISNEY NUMBERS? 3, 10, 30, 31, 60, 180, 200, Infinity and Beyond!
Each of these numbers mean something important when you’re planning a Disney World vacation so you need to know your numbers! π
3 – The number of FastPass+ selections you can schedule in advance, per guest, per day. FastPass+ service allows you to reserve access to select Disney World theme park attractions, entertainment and character greetings in advance of your vacation.
10 – The maximum number of days for which you can purchase park tickets. Tickets are sold according to the number of days you want to visit the parks. The more days you visit, the more value you receive for the ticket price. (One day regular season adult ticket is $126.74, the same type of ticket for 10 days is $473.93, so better value. Prices updated as of 7/2018.) If you plan to stay more than 10 days, you’ll run into the problem of Disney not offering tickets longer than 10 days. Disney will suggest purchasing another ticket or buying an annual pass. *Better idea (and what we did on our last trip when we stayed 12 nights): consider not visiting the parks every day of your vacation. You are not required to use the days right in a row. You can go any days you want during a 14-day period, and do other things on the days you donβt visit a Disney park: take a break and relax by the pool, shop at Disney Springs, or visit another nearby attraction.
30 – The number of days in advance that you can select your FastPass+ options if you are staying OFF property. To me, this is a huge disadvantage. Guests staying AT Disney World Resorts can make reservations for a whole month before those staying off property! Also note that non-Disney resort guests do not have the 10-day grace period like guests staying at a Disney World Resort. If you’re staying off site, you’ll have to make each day’s FastPass+ selections 30 days prior; you can’t do it all at one shot on that 30 day mark. I always recommend staying on property.
31 – The number of days in advance of your vacation where you can change or cancel your trip without penalty. Your deposit/payment will be fully refunded if your plans change 31 days or more from the start of your vacation. *Note – Airfare added to your reservation through Disney is nonrefundable. If cancelled, it’s subject to the airline’s policies.
60 – The number of days in advance that you can make your FastPass+ selections if you are staying at a Disney World Resort. You can make your FastPass+ reservations 60 days in advance, plus have a 10-day grace period where you can reserve activities up to 10 more days. For instance, if your check-in day is December 1, you can make FastPass+ reservations for your first day on October 2 (60 days prior to December 1). The 10-day grace period means that on October 2 you can also make reservations for all the days up to December 10, even though they are more than 60 days away.
180 – The number of days in advance that you can make dining reservations at restaurants in the Disney World Resort. If booking online, you’ll have a one hour jump on reservations because they open up at 6:00am. If calling, reservations open up at 7:00am. You can make all your dining reservations at once, for up to 10 days of your vacation. You’ll need to set your alarm and be prepared to be on hold for a while as the lines tend to be very busy!
200 – The amount of the deposit Disney requires to hold your packaged vacation. You must pay a $200 deposit within 3 days of reserving your package. (Except if you book by yourself online, then the deposit is required at time of booking.) This deposit is fully refundable if it is 31 days or more in advance of your vacation.

INFINITY and BEYOND – The amount of happiness you should feel when planning your Disney World vacation! All these numbers are just part of the awesome process of planning a Disney World vacation.
