It’s Sandals Saturday! Issue 2: Beaches Resorts, Which One is for You?

3 BEACHES RESORTS:  WHICH ONE IS FOR YOU?

Many people have been asking about Beaches Resorts owned by Sandals so let me introduce you to the 3 of them.  There are 2 in Jamaica and one in Turks and Caicos, so yes, passports are required.  Let’s take a closer look at each resort so you can find the one that is right for you!

The 2 resorts in Jamaica are in Negril and Ocho Rios.  Let’s start with Beaches Negril.  It’s located about 75 minutes from the airport (MBJ) on the famed 7-mile Beach. It has 186 room & suites in 13 different categories.  There are 9 gourmet restaurants on the resort and 7 bars.  There is a Pirates Island Waterpark with 8 waterslides as well as a lazy river.  The rooms at this resort sit back from the beach, behind the pool areas that separate the rooms from the beach as shown below.beaches negril 3—————————————————————————————————————————————–

The other Jamaican Beaches resort is in Ocho Rios.  This is considered the “value resort” out of the 3 Beaches Resorts. It is about a 2 hour drive from the airport (MBJ).  It has 222 rooms and suites in 16 different categories.  There is also a Pirates Island Waterpark with 11 slides.  There are 5 pools and a swim-up bar.  If you like to golf, you can play unlimited rounds of golf with green fees included.  Also, this is where you’d want to take the kids who want to learn to golf because they have a golf clinic just for them! There are 7 restaurants and 7 bars.  The property is set on a lush hillside with terrace views of the ocean.  There is a private white sand beach.  There are 3 unique villages: French Village (every room comes with a stunning ocean view), Greek Village (beachfront rooms and concierge beach-walkout suites), and the Caribbean Village (that sits back in the resort with views of the Caribbean and lush gardens).beaches ocho—————————————————————————————————————————————–

Finally, we have the most popular Beaches Resort, located in the Turks and Caicos.  This is considered the ultimate resort!  It is just 15 minutes from the airport.  It is the largest Beaches resort with 758 rooms and suites with 44 categories.  There are 21 dining options and 15 bars.  The largest of the Pirates Island Waterparks is here with 10 slides, along with a surf simulator and 10 pools.  There is a lazy river and a 42-ft. SkySlide, along with a pirate ship where the kids can shoot water cannons.  They offer the most extensive dive program here – you can see up to 40 feet below the surface.  There are 7000 sq. feet of retail shops and a train that rides through the resort.  Here, they offer musical theater shows that are set on stage for all to enjoy.  The resort has 5 villages:  Caribbean Village (lush gardens, pool, and beach access), Seaside Village (1 and 2 bedroom villas closest to the water), French Village (set back from the ocean, zero entry pool, near waterpark), Italian Village (grand yet intimate, easy pool, beach, and waterpark access – some suites have 2 rooms, one with bunk beds), and the Key West Village (luxurious, laid back beach vibe).

Each of the Beaches Resorts have their own feel, and the villages within the resorts provide different atmospheres.  Which one is for you?  I can help you decide.  With Beaches you have all the same quality services and accommodations that you would find at a Sandals Resort, just you can bring the family to Beaches!  And I haven’t mentioned the supreme kids club programs (divided into 6 different age groups that really focus on age appropriate interests) or how nanny services are available at just $15/hour so you can still enjoy that alone time!  Sesame Street characters are at all the resorts and if your child wants Abby Cadabby to read a bedtime story to her in your room, she can!

There is so much more about Beaches that I could tell you, but I’d be writing a book, not a post!  Just comment below or call and we can chat about it!
